G&M’s original founders, George and Morris, opened the business in 1978. In the mid-1980s, they merged with Dickens Refrigeration, owned by Randy Dickens.

Randy became the sole owner by the mid-1990s. He remained the head of the company until 2006, when Phil Smith purchased the company. Today, Phil is still owner and president of the company, and Randy continues to work at G&M as well.
